Party Refund

Prerequisites :

The Order should have taken place before 24 hours and the order is not refunded fully yet.
The order should not exceed 120 days to refund from LEXA, because authorize.net does not allow the API to refund after crossing the 120 days refund limit. If you still want to refund after exceeding 120 days then refund it from authorize.net directly and let us know the family details and the order details, we will reflect the same in LEXA.
Please enable the Transaction key API details to initiate the refund, to initiate the refund.

STEPS FOR REFUND :

• Click on the Order number from the Parties -> Party Transactions.

Click option 1 Drop with Refund / Credit from the Action button drop down.

• It will open a new pop up screen which displays the complete information for the order. Admin can enter either the full amount or partial amount to initiate the refund and also to drop the student from the party.
• It allows the admin to refund the amount to the family.
• The refund amount cannot exceed the total amount paid by the family and also excluding the amount refunded to the family already.
• For example in the below screenshot the family was already refunded an amount of $105.00 so the balance amount of only $35.00 can be refunded to the family back.
• It gives three flexible options to the Admin.
  1. Drop with no fee refund – To drop a student without refunding the amount to the family.
  2. Full refund – Refund the full balance amount to the family and also drop the student from the class.
  3. Partial refund – Refund partial amount to the family and also drop the student from the class.

Click option 2 Refund from the Action button drop down.

• It will open a new pop up screen which displays the complete information for the order. Admin can enter either the full amount or partial amount to initiate the refund.

• Enter the amount to be refunded, in the text box and click Refund button , then a confirmation alert will popup for the confirmation by Admin.
• E.g., for this order the amount can be refunded only $110.00 (the Class amount including the tax and excluding the discount amount).

• We have refunded $100 now, so the balance only $10.00 we can refund further to the family.

• The refunded amount for this order displays under the order show page under the Drop / Refund Details.

• The same information gets displayed in the family show page.

• Refund only information the class show page.

• If the family has been refunded using this functionality then the amount will be deducted in the Drop with Refund functionality too.
